Boat Detailing Services
A refined finish on the water—restored, protected, and easier to maintain.
Boats take a beating from sun, water, and storage conditions—and it shows fast when the finish starts to dull or chalk. Our boat detailing service is built to restore a clean, polished appearance, reduce oxidation where possible, and protect exterior surfaces so they stay easier to wash and look sharper longer. Boat detailing is offered by appointment so we can plan properly around size, condition, access, and cure time.
What boat detailing improves
Restores gloss and clarity to dull exterior surfaces
Reduces chalky oxidation appearance where safely correctable
Removes grime, waterline buildup, and film (as appropriate)
Cleans and refines metal and trim for a sharper overall look
Improves maintenance—easier rinsing and washing between visits
Protects the finish with a durable, purpose-fit protection step
What we can fix—and what depends on condition
What boat detailing can do
Boat detailing can dramatically improve appearance by cleaning thoroughly, refining the finish, and addressing oxidation on gelcoat when it’s within safe limits. UV exposure contributes to polymer/photooxidation and surface degradation in polymer-based materials, which is one reason gelcoat and composites can lose their “deep” look over time.
What it can’t guarantee
Not all oxidation can be fully removed (especially if the surface is severely degraded), and some stains or discoloration may be permanent depending on age, materials, and exposure history. Our approach is always safe improvement—we’ll recommend the best path after inspection.
Restoration is step one—protection and correct maintenance are what keep the finish from sliding backward.
Built for sun, water, and real world storage
Whether your boat is stored outdoors, covered, or used frequently, the finish is still exposed to UV, moisture, and contaminants. UV aging is a known driver of surface changes in polymer/composite materials, which is why consistent maintenance and protection matter.
What’s included in our boat detailing
-
Thorough exterior wash (hull/topside/deck where accessible)
Targeted removal of film and buildup (as appropriate)
Surface prep for refinement/protection
-
Oxidation reduction and gloss restoration where safe
Finish refinement tailored to condition and material
-
Cleaning and refining rails, fittings, trim (as applicable)
Finishing touches for a crisp overall look
-
Vacuum and wipe-down of interior surfaces (as applicable)
Touchpoint cleaning and general refresh
Because boats vary widely, final scope is confirmed during quoting (size, material, access, oxidation severity, and interior needs).
Our boat detailing process
-
We confirm your boat’s size, material, access location, and key goals (appearance restoration, oxidation reduction, protection). This ensures the appointment is scoped correctly and avoids surprises.
-
We remove surface grime and buildup in a way that supports safe refinement later—because polishing a contaminated surface never ends well
-
Where appropriate, we refine the gelcoat/finish to reduce chalkiness and restore clarity. The approach is tailored to condition so we don’t overwork the surface.
-
Rails, trim, edges, and high-visibility areas are refined so the boat looks “tight,” not just clean.
-
We apply a protection step designed to help preserve the restored finish and improve ease of maintenance.
-
We confirm consistency and leave you with simple, realistic guidance to keep it looking sharp between details.

Boat Detailing FAQs
-
Boat detailing is scheduled by appointment, and service location depends on access and what’s needed. Share where the boat is located and we’ll confirm the best plan.
-
We can often reduce the chalky oxidation appearance and restore gloss where it’s safe to do so. Results depend on severity and surface condition—some boats improve dramatically, while severely degraded surfaces may have limits.
-
Timing depends heavily on boat size and condition. Maintenance-level details are shorter; oxidation/restoration work typically requires more time. We’ll quote time expectations after evaluating your boat.
-
Yes, for many boats we can provide an interior refresh as part of the appointment. Interior scope depends on layout/materials and is confirmed during quoting.
-
Many owners do a deeper service seasonally and maintenance details in between—especially during high-use months or when stored outdoors.
